FAQ

  • Is WHSM accredited?

Yes! White Horse School of Ministries is accredited by the American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions of Rocky Mount, North Carolina.  This accreditation is in line with similar divinity schools.  Along these lines, students should note that every institution has its own criteria for accepting transfer credits – accreditation does not guarantee that WHSM courses will be transferrable to other institutions of higher learning.

  • How much will it cost to get a degree?

New students pay an application fee of $25.  Once accepted, courses are purchased as you go.  Courses range from about $170 to $200 per 3 or 4 credit course.  Shipping fees apply for distance students.  There is special pricing for the Word Conferences (see website or call for more information). The Distance Learning booklet lists course information along with book requirements and fees for each class.

  • What are the requirements to become a student?

Students of WHSM must be born-again Christians and display a life dedicated to Christ. The following is required from all applicants:

     -A completed application form

-A recent passport type photo (showing head, neck  and shoulders only)

    -A $25.00 one-time application fee

  • I wasn’t the greatest student in school, will I make it as a WHSM student?

WHSM students are not required to have a high school diploma, but should have sufficient maturity to understand course materials and prepare homework assignments.  Prospective students who have questions in this area should consult the school director.  It is the goal of WHSM to build the student’s character and prepare each one in his or her God-given ministry and calling.  WHSM offers a course in basic writing skills, and we can help you with your grammar and formatting as needed.

**WHSM does not discriminate by race, color, national origin, or gender in its educational programs.

  • It seems like a big commitment, I’m not sure I can do it.

We all have hectic seasons in life.Waiting for the “perfect” time to enroll might never come along! Once accepted as a student at WHSM you will be encouraged to take classes at your own pace. There are no set time-frames to finish a degree. Should the need arise to take a break from classes, you may start again when you’re prepared to do so.
